Higher Priced TopSpots Get More Tips, We Swear! Try It.

Today was a huge day for ScratchBack. We got mentioned in Techcrunch, and hundreds of signups and five times that in emails came in. Whew… we’re still wading them all. Not to mention all the custom designs to implement! Who said that was a good idea to do??? Wait, we did, it’s just a lot of work. Be patient with us please.
Back to the headline. Guess what? The more you set for your tips, the more they are converting. In other words… 80% of people are setting their tip price at $1.00. But it’s the people who set it for $5.00 and up who are getting all the tips.
Now a naysayer would just say we’re saying this because we want more money. But we swear, it’s true. I, personally, believe that it’s the psychological aspect to it. If it is valued higher, it must be worth more! I can only go by what I see, and that’s what is happening.
Anyway, try making your tips a bit higher and see what happens. I think you’ll be surprised.

I think it’s obvious. All us poor sites without much traffic are setting Tip price at just $1. Other sites, that know they have some decent traffic, set it at $5 and easily get it, since they have the traffic!
Duh!!!

I recommend a report we can view which shows click to tip ratio. That way we can measure. at $1 we get 90% tips from the click. at $10 we get 20%, etc. Would help us find that right number.

What you mean “All Gone” ?!
I thought it pushes out the earlier ones with any new “tip”. So you can still Tip even when the thingy is all full!

@Adi,
Depends on how YOU set it up. You can set it to auto-bump, or set it for days, or a week, or a month! Your choice.

Adi has a good point. It’s the blogs with more traffic the mostly get the tips and they also has higher prices, except for Garry Conn. We could indeed use some kind of report, as Joshua said.
Thanks.
